David lives in the north east of England. He has drawn over 3000 topical cartoons for the Times (many featuring on the front page) and his work also appeared in the Sunday Express, the Guardian, the Telegraph, the Funday Times, the Daily Mail, Solicitors Journal, the Countryside Magazine, Punch and Private Eye.
As a writer he contributed short sketches to the Spitting Image television series.
His colour work has featured in many publications and advertising campaigns. He regularly illustrated the cover of Punch and produced AGENT ORANGE a weekly full page comic strip which ran for five
Haldane cartoons are exhibited at Jesmond Dene House, Newcastle upon Tyne. David also designed signage and beermats for St Mary's Inn Morpeth.
Other commercial work includes campaigns for Thomas Pink, Cable and Wireless, the Post Office, Lycetts and Boots packaging design.
